Sri Aurobindo Vidyabhawan is an integral part of Sri Aurobindo Pathamandir Trust, Balichak. Inspired by the teachings of The Divine Mother(of Pondicherry Sri Aurobindo Ashram) and Sri Aurobindo, the School was founded by Late Sri Satya Charan Dey as an initiative to educate the rural children in integral education as envisaged by The Mother and Sri Aurobindo. The foundation of the school dates back to 23rd of January in the year 1997. Our aim is to promote and create an environment and an atmosphere affording inspiration and facilities for the exercise and development of the essential aspects of human nature: the physical, the vital, the mental, the psychic and the spiritual. The approach to Education here is bound by no conventions. The methodology is based on themes, projects and seminars. Role plays and debates, skill based flexible syllabus at lower levels gradually crystallizing in the form of the ICSE-ISC curriculum. The school is constantly striving to create learner centric, activity based and participatory learning experiences. We believe that the child is an active participant in his/her own growth and progress and not just a recipient of knowledge. Sri Aurobindo Vidyabhawan ensures that learning shifts away from rote learning methods to conceptual learning and it is a continuously evolving process. By implementing various teaching tools and techniques individual progress is encouraged here.
